William R. Kiss Jr.

William Robert Kiss Jr. of Country Club Hills, loving husband "Mick" of Elizabeth Hope nee Mencke of 54 wonderful years, passed peacefully on May 7 ^th , 2021. He is survived by his three devoted children; William Robert Kiss III of South Barrington, Meredith Kiss-DeGrado of Wayne and Kathryn Kiss-Zurad of Naperville as well as their spouses Susan Kiss, Ron DeGrado, and Steve Zurad. His remarkable legacy includes being the proud grandfather affectionately known as "Paps" to Brittany, Madeline, Ronnie, Stephanie, Adam, Nicholas and Owen.  He was also a caring brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.  Born and raised in the Beverly area, Bill attended Brother Rice High School and is an alumnus of University of Illinois.  As a Project Engineer, he worked in various roles within the manufacturing industry for over 50 years before retiring in 2014.

Residing in CC Hills for 46 years, Bill proudly served his community in many ways:

• St. Emeric's Football coach
• St. Emeric's Usher
• CC Hills Fire Department Trustee
• Lake of the Woods Association - President and Board Member, Decatur MI

A man of many passions and skills, Bill loved music, fishing, boating, woodworking, gardening, and enjoying the company of his family, friends, and neighbors.  He was a lifelong and spirited Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini fan.  His warmth, kindness, and solid moral compass will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18 ^th at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. at:

St. Emeric's Catholic Church

Bill will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL.
