William H. Bose

William Bose, 96, of Beecher, IL passed away at home on June 17, 2026. Born on October 22, 1929 in Chicago. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty. Bill lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and devotion to his family. He is survived by his children, Lance Wright, Priscilla Marshall, and Margo (Michael) Nauert. He treasured being known as Granddad to Steph Marshall, Joe (Kara) Marshall, Alex (Jeanette) Nauert, and Andrew Nauert, and was a Great-Granddad to Nico and Cecilia Nauert, and Jack Marshall. All were blessed by his unconditional love and enduring example. His family was his greatest pride and the center of his life.

As a proud veteran of the Korean War, he carried the values of duty and integrity throughout his life. After returning home, Bill graduated from Northwestern University and went on to enjoy a career as an accountant. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill had a warm sense of humor. He was an excellent card player who rarely passed up an opportunity to enjoy a spirited game of pinochle or bridge with family and friends. His quick mind and friendly competition made every game memorable.

Bill was also generous and compassionate and believed in giving back to others. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, helping build homes for families in need. This reflected his lifelong belief that a strong community is built through kindness and service.

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the countless lives he touched with his compassion and generosity.
