Vanessa Tylor

On January 8, 2024, Vanessa Tylor got her wings and went to walk with the angels in HEAVEN.

Vanessa was born to Eva Mae and Alfonzo Bradley on September 9th, 1959. Vanessa had nine siblings and they all grew up with love, laughter, and knowing GOD. After graduating South Shore HS, Vanessa met and married Jerry Tylor in 1978. They went on to have a son, Jason. Vanessa started a career at CPD and learned the tricks of the trade. After her divorce and enjoying life, she met Ike Myrickes in 1987. They began their love journey and had two kids: Ebonee and Issac Ir. They enjoyed their career at USPS together until they retired. Their love was strong, intimate, and lasted for 37 years until Ike's untimely passing in May 2022.

Even though Vanessa gave birth to three kids; she cared deeply for her family, especially her grandchildren. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help. Vanessa helped provide a home for nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and regularly cooked great meals for anyone who came to her doorstep. And she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy.

Vanessa was known for her style, her laughter, cooking, and generous spirit. She is leaving behind broken hearts but with happy spirits because we know she is riding her bike through the golden gates!

Vanessa is survived by her children Jason Tylor, Ebonee Myrickes, Ike Myrickes Jr, sister Mary Jean Ely (Lee), and brother Angelo, eight grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

John 11:25-26. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die".
