Theresa Ann Giblin, age 79, of Homewood. Beloved wife of John Giblin for 53 years. Loving mother of Lorie (Robert) Pearce, Christine (Clark) Conrad, Eileen (Mark) Williams, and James Giblin. Cherished grandmother of Kearra and Sofie Pearce, Carolyn Conrad, Henry, Ian, George and Julia Williams. Dear sister of Margaret Doyle nee Callaghan and sister-in-law of Catherine, Mary and Dorothy. Preceded in death by sister Bonnie and brothers George and Patrick. The cornerstone of her life was her Catholic faith. She was a dedicated parishioner and volunteer of St. Joseph's Church for decades and a fierce advocate for the vulnerable and those who felt alone. She was a devoted mother and wife to John for over 53 years. Terry loved crossword puzzles and reading, she enjoyed having coffee while catching up with family, friends, and neighbors, traveling and shopping for her grandchildren. She found support and life-long friendships through her association with St. Sabina's and Academy of Our Lady Alumni groups, Girl Scouts, Illinois Central, Interlake and her extended family and friends. Theresa's foremost passion showed others by example how to advocate for children and adults with special needs and instilled in her children a love of reading. Visitation Tuesday February 20, from 3-8pm at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Funeral Wednesday with 9:15 am prayers at the Funeral Home to St. Joseph Church Mass 10am.
