Dear sister of Edward McDermed and Paul (Julie) McDermed. Cherished aunt of Kyle, Evan, Danny, Jimmy, Tommy, Jason, Danielle, John, Christopher, Mathew, Timothy, and Jaclyn.

Graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Geology. Obtained her master's degree in environmental biology from Governors State University. Her passions were music and nature.
