Ronald Ruse

Ronald Ruse, age 90, of Homewood, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2022. Longtime resident of Flossmoor, Ron was born November 26, 1931 to Null and Drue (Wolcott) Ruse in Uniontown, PA. Graduate of Uniontown High School, Ron had a long career as a salesmen in the Steel Industry. He enjoyed collecting antiques on his many road trips and was fortunate to travel to exotic locations around the world. Husband of the late Joan (nee Riehle); Father of James (Jeannine Walker) and Deirdre Croce; Grandfather of Brennan Macfarlane, Daniel (Brittany) Macfarlane and Ryan Croce; Brother of the late Ken (Jo Butler), Joan Coulter (Sonny Perez) and Ricky; Uncle to Kathy, Craig, Nan, Barb, Kirk, Tracy, Melonie, Jason, David, Lauren, Lee, Ann and Rebecca; and Friend to many, especially Jay Sanaknaki. Ron's outgoing personality, outrageous stories and laughter will missed by all. A private interment will be held at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's name may be made to the Cornerstone Services to further behavioral health options.
