Robert Jeffrey

Robert Thomas Jeffrey was the beloved son of Sandra and Earl Jeffrey and is survived by his brother Earl David and his sister Kimberly Ann. He also leaves behind his Uncle Bill and Aunt Joyce Jeffrey and cousins Karen, Sue, Tom Will and Dan. Rob attended Bloom High School and graduated from the University of Illinois. It was while he caddied at Olympia Fields Country Club that he developed an interest in trading treasury bonds on the Chicago Board of Trade. This interest was encouraged by many successful bond traders who eventually became mentors for Rob and helped get him started in his chosen field. He eventually owned a seat on the Chicago Board of Trade. After years of trading, Rob retired from the CBOT and divided his time between Chicago and West Bay in Estero, Florida. He was passionate about sports, fishing, golf, history, the Cubs, and for 15 years his beloved and loyal rescue dog Cookie.
