Robert (Bob) Herman Becker, aged 81, of Burr Ridge, Illinois, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Susan Becker nee Peskin, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Bob was a cherished father to Sarah Becker, Carl Becker, Teresa Soriano, Joshua Arons, and David Arons. He was also a beloved grandfather to Crawford, Evelyn, Mya, Linnea, Sofia, and the late Tristan. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind numerous other family members, countless friends, and clients whose lives he touched deeply.

Bob was a man of many passions and talents. His love for music was evident to all who knew him, as he could often be found playing the banjo, mandolin, guitar, and various other instruments with joy and skill. His musical talents brought joy to many gatherings and enriched the lives of those around him.

Professionally, Bob dedicated nearly six decades to his career as a certified financial analyst. His expertise, integrity, and commitment to his clients were unparalleled. He approached his work with diligence and passion, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bob will be remembered for his genuine warmth and kindness. He possessed a remarkable ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with everyone he encountered. He treasured the friendships he formed over the years and valued the bonds he created with others above all else.

An avid reader, Bob had a thirst for knowledge that was insatiable. He found solace and joy in the written word, always eager to explore new ideas and perspectives. Additionally, Bob shared a special bond with his beloved dogs, Zoe and Desi, finding comfort and companionship in their time together.

Bob's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the lasting impact he had on our lives.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held in the spring. Contributions to The Leukemia Foundation in his honor are appreciated. Bob's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
