Richard Neil Nardi

Richard Neil Nardi, July 31, 2021, age 81, a resident of Homewood, IL for 55 years, formerly of Thornton, IL passed away peacefully at home. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Nardi nee Gibson. Dear father of Brent Nardi, Danette (John) Anderson, and Jason Nardi. Devoted and dear son of the late Frank and Emma Nardi. Proud Poppy of Grant and Emma Anderson, and Joseph Nardi. Loving older brother of the late Nick (Carol) Nardi, and Ken (Beth) Nardi. Dear brother-in-law to the late Norm and Sandy Gibson. Fond Uncle Richie to Kurt, the late Kristie, Keith, Leslie, Guy, Angie, Tony, Cori, Tami, and Wendy. Cherished friend to his Aberdeen Condo neighbors, Dunedin, FL. A 1958 graduate of Thornton High School, Harvey, IL where he was the varsity quarterback for the football team. Richard was a proud U.S. Marine. He was a U.A.W. Member and worked for 20 years for International Harvester. Richard enjoyed playing golf, fishing, cooking, drinking red wine, watching TV westerns, and spending time with "la famiglia". His straight-shooting, comedic commentary and unique views on life will be dearly missed. Richard was one-of-a-kind. Per Richard's request, his family is planning a private celebration in the near future. In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to VITAS Hospice.
