Paul S. Zahara, August 14, 2020, Age 94. Late of Flossmoor, IL.  Beloved husband of Iris Zahara nee Van Zanten.  Dear Father of Rebecca (Samson) Shafir, Susan (Jude) Troppoli, Jodie (Charlie) Brugler, Jamie (Renee) Zahara and Kathryn (Keith) Trojan.  Cherished grandfather of Taylor, Haley, Marlee, Aviana, Skye and Hunter.  Brother of the late Albert and the late Joseph Zahara.  World War #II U.S. Army veteran having served in the Pacific Theater.  Graduate of Indiana University Class '50 and an active member of the Indiana University Alumni Association.  Retired from the 1 ^st National Bank of East Chicago after serving with banks in northwest Indiana and Chicago area.  Mr. Zahara was an avid landscaper and gardener.  He loved collecting art and sports memorability.  He had a wide interest in many areas of music, singing and comedy.  Services and Interment will be private.  Memorials to the Indiana University Foundation or Glenwood Academy would be appreciated.
