Paul Joseph McKee, May 23, 2020, age 97. Longtime Homewood resident and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio. Preceded in death by his wife, Anne PecksKamp, and his son John Robert McKee III.
He is survived by his children, Pauline McKee of Asheboro, NC, Tom McKee and his wife Marcia Kinney McKee of Naperville and his grandchildren, Robert, Natalie, and Ross Robert. Loving brother of Elizabeth Gnall and the late Caroline McKee Coudray, John Robert McKee II, Frank McKee, and Stella McKee. Proud uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Born on November 7, 1922 in Versailles ,Kentucky to Frances Morancy McKee and Stella Glogauer. He was the grandson of Dr. John R. McKee, a Kentucky Colonel, and Fritz Glogauer, publisher and editor of the Chicago Abendpost, a leading German newspaper. He attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati where he ran track and played football. During WWII, he served as a photographer for the US Marine Corp. Following in the footsteps of his father, many uncles and cousins, he attended Notre Dame University. He graduated in 1947 and serve as captain of the swim team. During his career he worked for Lyttons, Addressograph-Multigraph and Sweda International. He was active in St. Joseph Parish and community affairs.
A private service will be held by the family on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
