Patricia Ann Verboom, age 66, of Chicago Heights, Illinois peacefully passed away on September 9, 2021. She was born on June 13, 1955.
She was preceded in death by her loving brothers Willie Thibault Jr., Victor Thibault, David Thibault and Michael Thibault; mother, Joyce Thibault and father, Willie Thibault Sr. She is survived by her two children Jacquelyn Bodnar and Steven Verboom; siblings Catherine Johnson and Raymond Thibault; and son-in-law Michael Bodnar.
She was born in Plymouth, New Hampshire and spent the first eight years of her life there before moving to Lansing, MI. As a young girl she loved playing in the rain and mud. She had an adventurous childhood with all of her siblings who helped her grow into a beautiful caring woman. She met the love of her life right next door, Robert Verboom, whom she eventually married at the age of 23 and moved to Illinois. She was a dedicated Mother who loved the Holidays and time with her family. She worked as a School Bus Driver for years and loved driving around the kids. Prior to that, she had her own business as a Vendor at the Montana Charles and Shipshewana Flea Markets. She loved working outdoors and spending summers with family. She retired in 2019 and enjoyed the relaxation that provided. She loved playing cards, crafts, watching Hallmark movies and playing games on her tablet. Patricia had a very generous, strong-willed and sweet heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
For years Patricia generously donated to St. Jude, Police Officers and the Veterans. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Patricia please send donations to the Veterans, HelpDAV.org or St. Jude at stjude.org.
