Patricia Ann Hamann

Patricia Ann Hamann (nee Walus), September 13, 2022, age 70 of Riverdale, formerly of Roseland, Chicago. Beloved wife of Michael Hamann. Loving mother of Elizabeth (Mark) Wilson. Cherished grandmother of Harvey and Roxy Wilson. Dear daughter of the late Bertha and Steven Walus. Cherished sister of Steven A. Walus. Loving aunt to many dear nieces and nephews and their children.

Pat lived a rich and loving life. Known for her razor-sharp wit and wry, off-center sense of humor (which often manifested as a hilarious Christmas gift), Pat spent her spare hours pursuing a multitude of creative endeavors over the decades: learning dance and photography, sewing Halloween costumes and color guard flags, and painting ceramics. An adventurous traveler, Pat visited Spain three times—her first trip taken on her own at age 19—and enjoyed regular vacations to her favorite getaways Las Vegas and Daytona Beach.

Most of all, Pat adored her family: so much so that caring for her daughter, her nieces, and her best friend's daughter became her vocation. When they grew up, Pat spent over a decade as an operations specialist at Great Lakes Bank before retiring as an incomparably doting grandmother.
