Patricia Davidson

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on July 30th 2025 after a long and fierce battle. She was born on August 4th, 1941, to Andrew and Jean Stopa in Chicago. A city girl at heart met a country boy named Chuck fell in love and were married in 1964. Dad finally convinced this city girl to move to the "country" in1969 taking along their son Eric and unborn daughter to the rolling fields of Hazel Crest. There they put down roots and lived happy lives until dad passed away unexpectedly in 1988. Heartbroken at the sudden loss, mom never remarried. Her heart mended a little after her daughter Shelly married George (Skip) Snyder and together gave mom her first grandchild Zach. Eric married Jennifer (Maurer) and made mom a grandma three more times with Ella, Jori, and Cody. Mom's heart healed a little more when her first great-grandchild Estella was born.

Mom loved her Polish heritage making annual visits to Pierogi Fest. She was also the family historian. She enjoyed genealogy and spent many hours tracing the roots of the family. Her proudest achievement was finding ancestors that fought in the American Revolution and finding relatives still living in Poland. Her family was her life, she is going to be sorely missed by her sister Christi and her husband Nick, her cousin/sister Margaret (Ralph). Her many other cousins including Joan, Barb, and Bernadette and her cousin's many children. We will always love and cherish the memories of our mom. May she find eternal happiness now that she's reunited with her true love, our dad.
