Peter Andrew Lindstrom was born January 22, 1954 and passed away on March 18, 2020. Preceded in death by parents Lillian Roberta Davidson and Franklin Andrew Lindstrom. Survived by loving wife Carol Lindstrom and their children Kendra and Steve Martin, Kimberly and Carl Summers, Jonathan, Joshua, Katie and Kyrsten and Johnny Lucia. Grandchildren Nathaniel, Elliana, Caleb and Colin. Siblings Sandy Lindstrom, Bonnie LaHue, and F. Donald Lindstrom, Bobby Hayes, and Daves Hayes.

Andrew lived in Homewood his entire life and met his wife Carol when they were in 6th grade. They married in June of 1976. Andrew worked in the banking industry for 40 years predominantly at Homewood Federal and South End Savings. In retirement, he worked at Hortons Ace Hardware in LaGrange and used his passion for fixing things to help people in the community.

He served in many roles in and around Homewood including:

Village President and Trustee

Church Boards of Calvary Assembly and Living Springs Community Church

Peer Mediation

Homewood Chamber of Commerce

Illinois League of Financial Institutions

Coached, Umpired and field maintenance for Homewood Softball and Baseball

PTA President and picture volunteer for District 153

Foster Parent for 12 years

Juvenile Justice and Family Mediation

PADS Volunteer

South Suburban Housing Center Board Member

H-F School Board-was his greatest passion and he truly enjoyed being known as Mr H-F and sporting his red and white suit around the school and sporting events.

Andrew worked hard and loved his family. He loved playing golf--especially with Jon and Josh. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He would help anyone with anything they needed. He will forever be loved and missed.

Due to Church limitations, a Private Memorial Service will be held on July 17 at the Living Springs Community Church 19051 S. Halsted St., Glenwood, IL.,  However the family will receive all friends and neighbors for an open house at their home at 2220 Cedar Rd. in Homewood from 1:30pm until 7pm, also on Friday July 17, 2020. Face masks aand social distancing will be observed.
