Nancy J. Snow

Nancy Jane Snow, nee Walter, age 91, died on Friday, October 25, 2024, at home in Olympia Fields.

Nancy will be remembered for her love and devotion to family. She was the mother of Ann Snow and Dwight W. (Anita) Snow. She leaves behind four grandchildren: Jeff, Kaila (Jaclyn), Owen and Colette.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Dwight L. Snow and her parents Herman and Bernadette Walter, née Zopf from Kankakee, IL. Nancy grew up in Pontiac, IL until leaving to pursue a career in nursing. Nancy was a registered nurse with a BSN who cared for patients in a variety of settings throughout her career. In 1998 she retired from her final position as a school nurse of SPEED Center in Chicago Heights, IL.

Services for Nancy will be held on Friday, November 1st. Visitation from 3:00-5:00pm with a funeral mass beginning at 5:00pm. All services will be at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood.

Nancy will later be laid to rest with her husband Dwight at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Brain Foundation.  https://www.americanbrainfoundation.org/
