Maxwell Garcia

Max Garcia passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 15th at the age of 17.  He is survived by his parents, Art and Jessica Garcia, his younger brother Sam Garcia, Grandparents Holly Conley, Alan Synold, Cecelia & Arturo Garcia, Uncle Mario Garcia (Vince Fattore), Aunt Cheyenne Synold (Jamie Do), cousins Amelia and Eli as well as many extended family members.

Max lived in Homewood his entire life.  He attended local public schools and also homeschooled for several years.  He was currently registered at Prairie State College and attending classes full-time.  In Homewood, he was active in basketball at St. Joseph's Church for several seasons and played baseball at Izaak Walton.  Max also played baseball for the Hammond Hermits for several seasons and was on the HF baseball team during his sophomore year.  Max had recently started working and was saving for a car.  He was thoughtful in so many ways and had a quiet, and smart sense of humor.  So many people were touched by his presence and are deeply feeling his loss.
