Marydell Powers

Marydell Powers nee Finchum, age 80, late of Thornton, IL.  Beloved wife of the late James Powers.  Loving mother of Glenn (Kristin) Pennington. Predeceased by her siblings Floyd (late Marydell) Finchum, Ruth (late Roy) Pettice, Dan (late Charlotte) Finchum, James (Maryann) Finchum and Roy (late Evelyn) Finchum.  Cherished grandmother of Rachel Pennington, Harrison Seggebruch, Mike (Marylou) Pennington, Joe Pennington, Lauren Seggebruch and the late Allison Seggebruch and great grandma of Selena Pennington, Mario Pennington, Sofia Pennington, and Charlette Maurer.  Dear aunt and friend to many. Lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene where she served as a pianist for many years. Her greatest joy was her grandkids. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Resting at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood on Wednesday July 29, from 3 pm - 8-pm.  Funeral Thursday 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery.
