Margaret M. Murray née McKenna, age 71, of Homewood IL. Devoted daughter of the late Thomas G. McKenna IV and Ann C. McKenna née Martin. Loving mother of Keith (David Fussell) Murray, Tim (Kelly) Murray and are children of the late Patrick W. Murray. Beloved companion to Kenneth Wulff. Cherished sister to the late Tom (Cheri) McKenna V, Paul (Denise) McKenna and Michael (Kristine) McKenna. Meg is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Tom McKenna, Kyle McKenna, Tyler McKenna, Michelle McKenna, Jonathan McKenna, Gabrielle McKenna, Sharla Hank née Murray, Robert Murray, 2 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces, cousins and many friends that she kept in touch with throughout her life.
Meg, a kind gentle soul, was a loving, thoughtful, and giving person who deeply cherished her family, and was a devoted mother, sister, and aunt. While raising two boys and working full time, she proudly earned her degree in Liberal Arts. Meg went on to have a successful career as a legal administrative assistant, following earlier years as a server at Aurelio's in Homewood, where she formed many lasting friendships. She found great joy at the cherished family cottage at Fox Lake – fondly known as the "Love Shack" – where she created countless summer memories with family and friends. It was there that she met her beloved partner, Ken, and together they shared over 30 years of love and companionship. Meg loved boating, crocheting, needlepoint, crosswords, reading, and most of all, spending quality time with her loved ones. She also had a soft spot for animals, and could often be found enjoying her favorite nature shows or tending to her garden. Meg always provided gentle guidance when asked and always without judgment. Thoughtful and nurturing, Meg always put others first and took great pride in seeing her family and friends thrive.
