Marcella K. Gill

Marcella Gill, of East Hazel Crest passed away peacefully Wednesday February 28 at the age of 92 surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 4, 1931 in Thornton, IL and has resided in East Hazel Crest for 74 years. She was the daughter of Hugh and Rose Agnes Lafferty. Marcella was preceded in death by love of her life, her husband of 62 years Frank Gill. Marcella was known for her unconditional love, devotion and nurturing strength to her family, as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her seven children, Patricia (Richard) Lazuka, David (Beverly), Frank G. (Kate), Sharon (Ray) Pupelis, Gregory (Kate), Karen Habas, and Brian (Jennifer). She is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. Dear sister to William Lafferty, Marilyn Shipley, Phyllis Bakki, Janice Fowler and the late Hugh, Calvin, and Guy Lafferty. She was a loving aunt to many. A memorial service will take place on Saturday March 16, 2024 at 12 pm at Tews Ryan Funeral Home for immediate and extended family. Interment private.
