Lynn M. Welsh

Lynn Welsh, nee McLaren, age 87, longtime resident of Homewood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9th.

Lynn was the beloved wife of the late Tom Welsh. She is survived by her four daughters Sherry (Joseph) Fazzini, Sandy (Lee) McWethy, Susan Welsh and Sally (Brian) Doyle and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Samantha, Joey, Maggie, Collin, Austin, Brittany, Lindsay, Declan, Mara, Emmett, Addison, and James) and her brother Al McLaren.

Lynn was born and raised in Harvey, IL and married Tom in 1954. Lynn was a successful real estate agent who knew everyone in her community. She would often see someone and recall later "I think I sold their house".

After she retired, she and Tom spent their summers in Diamond Lake (where they had a second home) and winters in Florida. She spent most of her time with her family and playing bridge with her lifelong friends.

Services will be held at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home on Friday December 17, 2021 with visitation from 9am until the service at 11:30am, with the burial immediately following at Homewood Memorial Garden Cemetery.
