Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Kinsella

Lawrence J. Kinsella, 85 a longtime resident of Homewood and recently of St. John, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family on January 8, 2024. He is survived by his wife Mary Bannister Kinsella, the mother of William (Amy) Bannister and Elizabeth (Doug) Paul. He was loving father to Mary (Ed) Jung,  Pat (Christopher) Stallter, Kathy (Bill) Wade, Larry (Jen) Kinsella, Rich (Kim) Delort. Loving grandfather to Lexi, Max and Jacob Jung, Bri and Michael Stallter, Charlie, Sam, Lily, Audrey and Will Wade, and Jack and Liam Kinsella.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years Patricia Kinsella and his loving daughter Debbie Kinsella-Delort.

Larry dedicated his life to the homebuilding industry for over 40 years holding multiple positions within the National Homebuilders Association. Locally, he developed numerous subdivisions in the south suburbs and surrounding areas.  Larry also served on the Homewood Planning Commission.

Larry's greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends.  For over 50 years he spent summers boating on Lake Wisconsin and played many rounds of golf while wintering in Florida.  Fall weekends were always reserved for Notre Dame and Bears games.

He was our hero and will be missed beyond words.
