Katherine (Kitty) Lee Silliker (nee Gibson) age 86 passed away on February 16, 2023 at her home in St. John, Indiana. Kitty was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Helen and George Gibson of Kenilworth, Illinois and San Diego, California. Beloved wife of the late James L. Lee and Dr. John H. Silliker. Dear sister of George Gibson (Elsa) of Cincinnati Ohio and Naples, Florida. Graduate of Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School, Marywood Catholic High School and Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. Loving mother of Mary Beth Senne (Scott); Maureen C. Lee Reid (Steve Meder); Margaret A. Groark (Richard); Michael J. Lee (Jenny); Brian T. Lee (Jennifer). Proud grandmother (Gram) of eleven. Katherine (Kitty) Nevinski (Andrew), Nicholas Damanskis, Scott Senne Jr. (Shannon), Jamie Sotiroski (Jim), Carlyn Miller (Jordan), Shannon Groark, Sean Groark, James L. Lee, Abigail Rose Lee, Alyssa P. Lee, and Ryan J. Lee. Adoring great grandmother of 7 and fond aunt to 19 nieces and nephews. Fond stepmother of Paula Tarabelli of Ontario, Canada and Margaret Silliker of Chicago, Illinois and 3 step grandchildren, Kristyn Booth , Colin McDonnell Goepfert and Gwendolyn Patrone. Kitty was a sports enthusiast, avid golfer (Olympia Fields C.C. 9-hole club champion), bridge player and devoted reader. Visitation Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:00am – 11:00am, St Veronica Church (Infant Jesus of Prague), Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, 1131 Douglas Ave. Flossmoor, Illinois. Private Interment at Assumption Cemetery. Luncheon to follow immediately after Mass.
