Judith K.Rangel (nee) Ianello 80 long time resident of Homewood and most recently Olympia Fields.

Beloved wife of the late Michael M Rangel.

Loving mother of Renee (David) Thieman, Rhonda (Mark) Vandenberg, Robin (Ken) McElligott and Regina (David ) Casto.

Cherished "FIA" to Anthony, Cory (Megan), Carly, Morgan, Danielle, Kayla and Allison. Special great-grandma to Wyatt.

Loving sister to Genevieve Ianello,   Marie Ianello,  Patricia (Anton) Depre and Anthony (Debbie) Ianello Jr. Dearest in-law to Rangel family.  Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Inspirational friend to many especially life-long 'bestie" JoAnne.

Preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Genevieve Ianello Sr.

Judi was a people person, which was reflected in the type of work she did from promoting celebrity golf outings and fundraisers to managing strip malls.

Judi was a hand's on mother and grandmother who never missed a sporting event or activity her children or grandchildren participated in.

Judi was very giving of her time to her church, schools and organizations. She was past president of the St Joseph Women's guild, Home Room mom, member of the PTA, member of the Mercy High School Alumni Association, member of the Lupus Society, member of the Glenwood bowling league and coach of Homewood girl's softball.

Judi was elected village clerk in Homewood for several years and when she moved to Olympia Fields she served as the Olympia Fields village clerk as well.

Judi was best known for the parties she hosted from birthday and graduation parties to the Linden Rd block parties and Homewood's biggest party-Homewood Fest.

Judi loved to play games and was a force to be reckoned with during trivia contests.

Judi loved music and to dance, recently Judi had the opportunity to sing and dance with "The King: Elvis at her 80 th birthday party.

Anyone who was fortunate to know Judi was blessed beyond measure.

May she rest in peace and continue to sing and dance!!!

Resting at Tews Ryan funeral home 18230 Dixie Highway Homewood Sunday Sept 25 th from 2-7. Prayers Monday at 9:30 to St. Joseph church for 10:30 mass. Luncheon to follow.
