Juan A. Perez

Juan Antonio Perez was born in his beloved hometown of Lares, Puerto Rico. He was the son of Miguel Angel Perez and Maria Guzman de Perez, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gladys "Chiquy", his son Juan Jr. "Jay", daughter-in-law Cassandra, and grandson Alexander, his siblings Isa, Miguel, Heriberto, and Judith, along with many nieces and nephews.

Juan was a cabinet maker in his youth but learned many trades throughout his life.   He served as a mechanic with the Illinois Central Railroad, which led him to Homewood, IL. He later became an electrician with Metra Electric and retired after over 30 years of employment with the railroad. In his retirement he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his garage, and meeting friends for coffee.   He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
