Joseph Patrick Saternus

Joseph P. Saternus, age 79, of Midlothian. Beloved husband of Geri Saternus nee Rick.  Loving father of Richard (Laura), Brian (Jennifer) and Diane (Brian) Saternus -Rieman.  Cherished grandfather of Jonathan, Gillian, Payton, Addison and Colton. Dear brother of Walter Saternus, Ted (Donna) Saternus, Nancy (late Tim) Christie and Tom (Jane) Saternus.  Loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.  Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Helen (Basista) Saternus.  Joe enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He was an avid golfer, fisherman and gardener.  He was a retired employee of Ingersol Products in Chicago.  He also spent his free time enjoying a Chicago Cubs or White Sox game and doing word puzzles and Sudoku.  Resting at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood on Friday June 11, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service Saturday 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
