Joseph B. Muyskens

Reverend Joseph B. Muyskens of Homewood passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the age of 88.  He is survived by his wife Jean (nee Harmelink); his children Karen (Tom Ryan), Paul (Holly), Ruth (Philip Postlewaite), and JoAnne; and his grandchildren Jeffrey, Nikki (Greg Birdsall), Kate (Ray Hsiao), and Matthew.  Joseph was born to the late Henry and Dena Muyskens in Orange City, Iowa.  He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and received his Master's in Divinity from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan.  Joseph enjoyed his many years in the ministry and as Secretary for Social Ministries for the Reformed Church of America.  He was a devoted husband to his wife of sixty‑seven years and a caring patriarch to his children and grandchildren.  Funeral services will be privately held for his immediate family.
