Joan Katherine Furlong

Joan Katherine (O'Brien) Furlong 1932-2021 Born to Evelyn (Watson) and Paul N. O'Brien in Chicago, IL.  Married at Our Lady of Peace in 1954 and moved to Homewood in 1963 she and her husband raised seven children: David, Patricia, Paul, Daniel, John, Jeriann and Thomas.  She is survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  She was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Parish, an avid walker, active community volunteer and realtor.  Her warm personality welcomed all and was quick to help those in need.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Joan's name on June 12 ^th at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
