Jeffrey "Jeff" K. Setnes

Jeffrey K. Setnes age 63, passed away August 18, 2023. He was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota on February 25, 1960. Jeff spent the first 8 years of his life across the river in Wahpeton, North Dakota. In 1970 his family moved to the Chicagoland area where he spent the rest of his life. He retired on June 30 of this year after 36 years at DePaul University.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James Setnes and his niece, Kimberly Olson.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Setnes; sisters, Deb Setnes and Danita (Larry) Olson; brothers Kevin (Kris) Setnes and Greg (Jan) Setnes; three nephews, Chris Olson, Aaron (Christin) Setnes and Matthew (Heather) Setnes; two great nephews, Ethan Setnes and Liam Setnes, and one great niece, Abigail Setnes.

Visitation will be held at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Highway, Homewood IL Thursday August 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service will follow the visitation.
