It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeanne Ann Pope, who departed on September 10, 2025, in Bourbonnais, Illinois, due to the effects of Alzheimer's disease. She was 85 years old, having been born on August 6, 1940.
Jeanne lived a fulfilling life, raising three children and cherishing her beloved pets throughout the years: Boots, Max, Rambo, Brooks, Toby, and Sundance who were all very dear to her. She had a great love for music, particularly the works of Al Green and Toby Keith, She treasured the time spent with her family and friends, including participating in the pool league she and her husband established. She always held her guardian angels close to her heart. She retired from Hytest Safety Shoes in 2013 after 15 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Siekman and Margaret Daley, her husband, William Franklin Pope, daughter Dora Walker, sister Marjorie Conway, brother, Tom Siekman, sister Janet Calibraro and her cherished pets.
The deceased is survived by:
Her sons, Daniel (Rose) Pope, John (Trudie) Hughes, and son-in-law Dave Walker. Six Grandchildren Tiffani Pope, Kyle Pope, Amy Hughes and Patrick (Ari) Hughes, Kari (James) Jamicich, and David Walker (Amber). Six Great-grandchildren Romee Pope, Lorna Freeman, Jonathan and Logan Jamicich, and Sean and Anastasia Walker, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home of Homewood, Illinois, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM Tews-Ryan Funeral Home. To follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery Alsip, IL.
