Boyle, Janine A. (McIntyre) age 93, of Homewood, IL died September 30, 2023, surrounded by her family. Janine was born December 24, 1929, to the late Robert and Grace (Lindenmeyer) McIntyre. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late John "Jack" Boyle and loving mother to their six daughters: Debbie (Kerry) Yates, Janet (Kevin) Kane, Nancy Boyle, Cathy (Ray) Anderson, Jackie Tonkel and Maryann Boyle. She was the cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren: Abby, Laura, Beth, Diana, Alex, John, Max, Patrick, Margaret, Jennifer, Ray, Allison, Jake, Marc and Katie. And a sweet great-grandmother to Conor, Sophia, Caleb, Luca, Declan, Clare, Aiden, Elisabeth, Connor, Aurora, and Daisy. She was a kind sister to Elaine Norton (McIntyre), the late Linda McPheeters (McIntyre), William McIntyre, and Robert McIntyre. Aunt Janine was dear to her many nieces and nephews and was a well-respected parent by all her daughters' friends, teachers, and the larger community.
Janine graduated with honors from Mendota High School. Prior to her marriage and becoming a mother, she enjoyed working in an office. Janine raised her six daughters while keeping a lovely, tidy home. The family gathered for dinner all nights of the week and as her daughters grew, married, and moved out of the family home, Sunday afternoon and holiday dinners continued at Grandma's and Grandpa's. In addition to enjoying cooking, baking, keeping a home and volunteering, Janine loved being in the yard or garden and had more time for that as her daughters grew older.
As a loving, loyal daughter and daughter in law to the late Irene Boyle (Dannaher), one weekend a month was reserved for traveling to Mendota and Amboy to visit the aging parents who all lived into their late 80s or mid-90s. Married to "Jack", a successful salesman for Caterpillar and Howell Tractor, Janine enjoyed dinners out with customers and other couples but was happiest on family vacations and traveling in the U.S. and Europe.
Janine will be forever remembered in the hearts of her large family for her goodness and grace. Visitation Saturday, October 21 from 10am-11:30pm at Tews Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Memorial Mass following at 12pm at Saint Joseph Church/ The Parish of Saint John Neumann 17591 Dixie Highway.
