Jane A. Geary

Jane Ashby Burnett Geary, 66, of Flossmoor Il, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Jane was born November 22, 1957, in Chicago to her mother Viola Mickelson Burnett, and father Henry Caldwell Burnett. Jane grew up in Park Forest with her brother, Hal, and sister, Mary. She attended Rich East Campus High School and pursued a degree in secretarial science at Robert Morris University. Jane married her high school sweetheart, Dale Geary, on August 8, 1981. She led a successful career in insurance as Vice President of Regit Inc., before retiring when she welcomed her son John into her life. Jane enjoyed giving back to her community by involving herself in the Infant Welfare Society. In her free time, Jane enjoyed spending time with John, exploring restaurants, shopping, and watching countless hours of Real Housewives of New York with John. Jane lost Dale in 2017, yet she persevered as John's mother and saw him through to graduate in 2023 with his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. Jane is remembered for being a selfless friend, a devoted daughter, a dedicated mother, and an overall strong-hearted woman. Jane is missed dearly by her friends and family for always helping others before helping herself.
