Irene A. Wachowski

Irene Adline Wachowski (nee Zelazek), age 94, formerly of Chicago, currently of Glenwood, IL. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Wachowski. Loving mother of Maryann Wylie, Margaret Mary Wachowski, Ann Marie (Michael) Weaver, Phillip (Donna Wilson) Wachowski and Peter Wachowski. Dearest Grandmother of Michael (Anna Jurkevics) Weaver, Phillip Wachowski, Jr, Alexandra Wachowski, Stephanie Wachowski, Timothy (Angelica Krizka) Weaver, and Jonathan Wachowski. Great-grandmother of Alice and Murray Weaver.

Predeceased Sister of Stephen (Gertrude), Raymond (Marcella) and Edmund (Cecelia) Zelazek, Esther (Leo) Wozniak, Lorraine (Jack) Cary, Clara (Joseph) Gregg, Virginia (Edmund) Kopec and late Henry Zelazek. Predeceased Sister-in-law of Rev. Henry Wachowski, Dorothy (Blase) Zurek, Cecelia (Edmund) Zelazek and Rev. Francis Wachowski. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Irene was a loving and devoted wife, as well as a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mom was an active member of St John's (Glenwood) Senior Group and worked as an aide at the local nursing home. Mom loved baking and sharing her treats as well as gardening and dancing at the Aragon ballroom and cherished her childhood memories and mother's cooking She was very lucky when playing Bingo, lottery scratchers and at the casino. Mom also had an amazing memory for dates (birthdays, anniversaries, and special events). May her memory be a blessing on all who knew her.
