Heidi K. Pence passed away on March 8th, 2026, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 52, surrounded by the people she loved.
Born on June 14th, 1973, she was a wonderful wife to Chad Pence of 27 going on 28 years, and an amazing mother to Nathan Pence and Felisha (Cypress) Pence. A beloved sister to William (Linda) Hill Jr, her late sister Holly Rossbach, her late brother Phillip Knupp, Phyllis (James) Baumgartner, and Katherine (Kitty) Knupp. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a loving daughter of her late parents Robert and Anna Knupp.
She was known for her love of reading from a young age as well as writing her own poems and stories. She loved art of many different mediums. She was an avid lover of nature and animals. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and indoor plants.
She was a woman who did many different things, but she spent most of her life as a devoted and compassionate stay at home mother and caregiver.
Heidi did as she said she would and fought to the very last breath. She was well loved and will be missed deeply by those who had the privilege to know her.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13th at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Highway, Homewood, IL.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 14, at 10:30am at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home and the Interment will take place immediately following at the Homewood Memorial Garden 600 Ridge Road Homewood, IL. For additional information contact tews-ryanfh.com or call 708-798-5300.
