George Nemitz

George Nemitz, age 68, U.S. Army Veteran. Late of Bourbonnais, formerly of Homewood. Beloved husband after 41 years of the late Lisa Ann Nemitz. Loving son of the late Frank A. and Edna Nemitz nee Niper.  Loving father of Laura (B.J.) Doss, Janet (Jason) Lis and Kimberly (Kris) Szlembarski. Cherished grandfather of 7. George was number 9 of his 13 siblings. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. George loved riding Motorcycles, camping and rode for "Toys for Tots" every year. Visitation and Funeral Service Wednesday August 17, 2022, from 9:30am until 12:30 pm at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood.  Graveside to follow at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at 2 pm.
