G. Diane Conroy (nee Ruswick), 88 of Glenwood, wife of the late Thomas, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, surrounded by family. Loving mother of Susan (Ian) McLeod of Hinsdale, and Cynthia (the late Stephen) Rose of Glenwood. Cherished Grandma of Emily and Kathleen McLeod of Chicago, and Lauren and Stephanie Rose of Glenwood. Beloved sister of George H. (Vickie) Ruswick of Coto de Caza, CA. Devoted daughter of the late Gertrude (McCaffrey) Ruswick and the late George Ruswick, formerly of South Holland, IL. Fondest aunt to many and loved by cousins and friends.
Diane grew up in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood, having attended Mercy High School and Thornton Community College. She taught first grade at St. Jude the Apostle in Dolton before devoting her life to raising her family. Diane was particularly proud of her four beautiful granddaughters who were the lights of her life. A day never passed without asking how her girls were doing. She also loved her cross-country road trips to California and Florida, her grand-doggies, and an ice-cold Pepsi.
