Frances L. Graham

Frances Graham, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 31 ^st , 2022.

Frances is survived by her children: Pam Chwala, and husband Casey; Dale Graham and wife Kelly; Greg Graham and wife Pat; Jenny Graham and husband Robert Slawson; as well as her 11 grandchildren and their spouses, and 15 great children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Graham.

Frances Kelly was born in 1930 on a farm in central Indiana. At 19, she married her high school sweetheart, Dale, to whom she was married for 59 years.

After having three children, Dale and Fran moved to Park Forest, Illinois, where they had their fourth child.  Frances worked two jobs to help support the young family-as a bookkeeper for a medical office and at a Jacobsen's Pharmacy.

In 1959, the family joined Calvary United Protestant Church in Park Forest, where Fran was an engaged member, leading many committees and events. Fran was also an active volunteer and supporter of many charities.

In 1972, employing her love of language and good grammar, Frances began work as a proofreader for Antiques & Collecting Manager, where her husband worked. Eventually Fran rose to the position of Editor of Antiques and Collecting Magazine before retiring.

Frances loved being a homemaker, keeping a spotless house, sewing beautiful clothing for her family and volunteering. She was a generous and loving soul and she will be deeply missed.
