Eugenio V. Alejano

Eugenio V. Alejano, Jr., MD, Age 92 Late of Homewood, IL. Beloved husband of the late Paz Alejano nee Ramiro. Dear father of Annjanette (Brandt Thomas) Ramiro Alejano-Steele, Eugene Andrew Ramiro Alejano and Christopher Sean Ramiro Alejano. Cherished grandfather of Brandt Christopher Alejano Steele, Olivia Kathleen Alejano Steele and Quinn Olivia Cruver Alejano. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. As a survivor of World War II in the Philippines, his gratitude and generosity was felt by all who loved him dearly. Fonancier Honors Scholar, University of Philippines College of Medicine; World Rehabilitation Fund fellow in rehabilitation medicine at New York University Medical Center (that brought him to the United States); and Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Retired as Chair and Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Oak Forest Hospital, Cook County Hospital System. As a lifelong learner, he was always curious about the world, civilizations and human nature. Always by his beloved Paz's side, together they deeply valued travel, education and time with loved ones.

Visitation at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Hwy. Homewood, Saturday, October 4th, from 9:30 to 11:00 with a service beginning at 11:00 until 11:30 a.m.
