Eugene A. Jasinski

Eugene A. Jasinski, October 23, 2022, age 90.  U.S. Army Veteran. Late of Homewood, formerly of Chicago.  Beloved husband of the late Lucille M. Jasinski nee Lipinski.  Dear father of James (Laurel) Jasinski, Linda (David) Francis, Sharon (Frank) Zdun, Elaine Jasinski, and Eileen Jasinski.  Cherished grandfather of Gregory (Kirsten MacDougall) Francis, Patrick Francis, Matthew Zdun and the late Andrew Zdun.  Great grandfather of Cooper Francis.  Loving brother of Edwina (late Edward) Danielewicz, late Victoria (late Walter Wojciechowski and the late Earl Peters), late Albertine (late Arthur) Gerstner and the late Norbert (late Janet) Jasinski.  Survived by many nieces and nephews. Retired after 37 years with International Harvester.  Eugene was a Chicago Sox fan and a competitive Pinochle player.  He enjoyed woodworking and completing handyman projects for his friends and family. Eugene also enjoyed bowling and Sudoku. In his later years, he also enjoyed dabbling in computer code, maintaining spreadsheets, and learning how to use his smartphone. Visitation Thursday, October 27, from 9:30am – 11:00am, followed by prayers at 11:15am at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood.  Mass at St. Joseph Church at 11:45am.
