Diane Saxon was born to Richard and Victola Saxon on April 12, 1952, at Mount Sanai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her Early Childhood education in Buffalo, New York and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Preceded with her College education from Roosevelt University of Chicago, IL majoring in Sociology. Loving children as she did, she dedicated over fifteen years teaching school.
She fostered many children in her home. An advocate for troubled youth. She went to homes teaching parents and students how to communicate with each other. She had a long career in the education field in the Chicago area enjoying every moment.
Diane and Ted were united in holy matrimony June of 2000. They celebrated 21 years of marriage June of 2021. For several years, she was a dedicated member of New Hope Evangelistic Temple under the direction of Bishop Hambrick. Later joining Calvary Assembly of God under Pastor John Husbands.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, and helping others. She loved her family, rarely missed any of our 2-year reunions which were held in different locations around the country. She was the life of the party with her distinctive laugh and ability to communicate with everyone individually.
She was a diva which I believe was hereditary stemming from our mother and I like to believe from me (older sister). As we continue to pass down the line to our girls, the love of clothes and shoes, always looking your best to feel your best and thank God for your many blessings. Reach down and pull up others with words of encouragement, kindness, and love.
Diane went to her final resting place with our Lord and Savior on the eve of November 16, 2021. Her memory will always be cherished by her husband Ted, mother Victola Mayer of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, daughter Dea (Brandon) Temple, grandchildren Jada, Blake, Jacen and Brandon, Jr. all from Houston, TX. Also survived by her uncle Rev. Joseph Harris, Chicago, IL, sister Bertha Johnson from Buffalo, New York, brother Gregory (Claudine) Saxon, Buffalo, New York, niece Candace Saxon from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and nephews Jason (Melissa) Gilchrist, Ambers New York, Brandon Johnson, Buffalo, New York and Jermaine Sampson from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Preceded in death by nephew Gregory Saxon, Jr. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Survived by a host of relatives throughout the United State and Canada, great nephews, nieces, and cousins.
