David Dyke

David Dyke, age 72, of Homewood, passed away on March 1st, 2025. David was a loving and devoted father to Candace (Ken) Ferro. A proud and devoted grandfather to Gracie Alexis Ferro. A loving brother to Robert (Jackie) Dyke, Karen (the late Jack) Gleason, John (Theresa) Dyke, and James (Carol) Dyke. David was a fun-loving uncle to 7 nephews and 2 nieces. David was preceded in death by his parents Geraldine (nee Sausaman) and Robert Dyke.

David was a longtime resident of Homewood, where he loved to go fishing at Izaak Walton and spending time with family at local events. He was an avid White Sox, Bears and Notre Dame fan. He loved watching his granddaughter play softball and perform in dance recitals. Throughout the years, David also enjoyed reading books, and listening to music, especially the Beatles. David was a wonderful, loving, kind, and caring person. He will be missed by many.

A private service was held at St. John Neumann Church and interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
