Dale A. Allen, age 87, of East Hazel Crest, IL formerly of St. Ignace, MI. U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. Son of the late Agnes LaVake Allen and Charles Allen. Loving father of Liz (Brian) Campbell, Dale "Guy" Allen Jr, Michael Allen and the late Michelle Allen. Cherished grandfather of Ava, Sean, Cole, Guy, Hunter, Gianna and Victoria. Dear brother of James (Mary) Allen and the late Robert, Carol, Lenore and Linda. Fond uncle, cousin and friend to many. Dale was a proud member of Iron Workers Local 1 in Chicago as a structural Iron Worker, who also helped build the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan. In 2019 was chosen for the "Honor Flight" in Washington, D.C.. Former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in South Chicago. Visitation Saturday March 19, from 9:30 am until the time of prayers at 11 am at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood. 11:30 am Mass at St. Joseph Church 17950 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
