Charles Robert "Bob" Heniff, veteran U.S.M.C. passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at age 85. He was a loving husband to Rosellen (nee Belin) for 60 years. He was the beloved father of Patricia, Colleen, Timothy (Maureen), Alisa, Megan (Robert). He was a devoted brother of Mary Prior (Donald "Bud" deceased), Thomas (Suzanne), and Michael (Sue) Heniff. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen, as well as his mother, Eileen O'Donnell and father, Charles Robert Sr. He was a proud grandfather to Aidan, Jack, Isabella, Victoria, Alexander, Sophia, Luciana, Amber, and Tarah. He is remembered by many nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends.
Bob graduated from Evergreen Park Community High School Class of 1957. He went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corp in 1958 with a specialty title of Combat Engineer and earned a badge as a Rifle Sharpshooter. He loved to cheer on his children and grandchildren in all their sporting events. His favorite Chicago teams were the Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox. He was also a diehard Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football fan.
Bob was a devout Catholic and enjoyed attending weekly Mass. He was known and beloved for his sharp wit, keen sense of humor, one-liners and easy laugh. He spoke fluent sarcasm. He was often the life of the party and will be sorely missed. Bob was the founder of Heniff Decorating, and his son Timothy continues to operate the family business.
