Catherine M. Wisniewski

Catherine M. Wisniewski, age 65, beloved sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend, died peacefully on July 2, 2025 at her home in Beecher, IL Catherine was born in Chicago, IL in 1959 to the late Ronald and the late Joan (nee Biegel) Wisniewski. Catherine moved from Chicago to Calumet City, where she lived for over 30 years before moving to Beecher in 2009. She attended grade school at St. Michael's the Archangel in Chicago, IL and graduated from Bowen High School in 1977. Catherine began her career working at Continental Bank while going to high school, which eventually led to her lifelong career working at Bank of America. Some of Catherine's favorite things included Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, the White Sox, watching game shows, taking her nieces shopping, and ordering items from QVC. Her favorite color was purple. Catherine also enjoyed attending family parties, where she was typically the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Joan, her brother Michael, and sister-in-law Donna. She is survived by her brothers Gregory A. (Marie), Jami (Michelle); her sister-in law Linda; her nieces and nephews Gregory M., Allison (Charlie Adam), and Stephanie Wisniewski, Jimi (Melissa) Cooke, Jami (Jeremy) Matteucci, and Kimi (Allan) Hazel; her great nieces and nephews Jesi Matteucci, Gregory J. Wisniewski, Barrett and Remington Hazel. Cathay was a niece, cousin, and friend to many. Memorial Visitation and Service will be held on Friday, July 18 from 12noon until the time of Service at 2pm at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 S. Dixie Hwy, Homewood, IL 60430. Casual dress.
