Brian D. Nietfeldt

Brian D. Nietfeldt, age 69, of Grant Park formerly of Homewood and Tinley Park.  Beloved husband of the late Kathy Lee Nietfeldt nee Larson.  Loving father of Dave (Alissa) Nietfeldt, late Kevin Nietfeldt, Matt (Lindsey) Nietfeldt and grandfather-father figure of Christian Nietfeldt. Cherished grandfather of Henry, August, Luna, Gunnar, and Wyatt. Dear brother of Cheryl (Jerry) Katz and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brian was proud and passionate about his career as a CPA. Brian enjoyed playing golf, fishing trips to Canada (Go Team V!), relaxing in Florida, and spending time with his many friends. He was also an avid Chicago Sports fan (except the Cubs). Along with his wife and son he was also preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Mildred Nietfeldt.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 11, from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am at the St. John Lutheran Church in Country Club Hills.  Interment immediately following at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. John Lutheran Church or charity of choice would be appreciated.

Brian's family and friends will fondly remember his kind and gentle soul that left a lasting impression on everyone who met him.  In honor of his memory, please cherish those you love and spread kindness everywhere you go.
