Brian J. Doyle

After a long and courageous battle, Brian J. Doyle, age 62, of Crown Point, IN, (former long-time resident of Homewood, IL), passed away peacefully in his home on June 9, 2025.

Beloved husband of Sally Doyle (née Welsh), loving father of Brittany (Dane) Springfield and Lindsay Doyle, cherished grandfather of Declan, Mara, and Emmett Springfield, and dear brother of Sandy Doyle (John Ruggerio). Brian was a loving brother-in-law, uncle of Kristin, Eric, Maggie, Collin, Austin, Samantha and Joe, cousin, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Doyle.

Brian was a man of unwavering dedication to his family. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious sense of humor, and his deep love for classic rock and the Chicago Blackhawks. A passionate wildlife enthusiast, Brian had a soft spot for animals and was often known to rescue raccoons, squirrels, birds, and other creatures in need.

Brian was the proud owner of a small construction company specializing in masonry, but he was truly a "jack of all trades." Whether it was fixing something around the house or taking on a big job in town, everyone knew: if you needed something done, just call Brian. He worked extensively in and around Homewood for many years, and his craftsmanship lives on—visible in countless homes and buildings throughout the area. He took immense pride in every job, no matter how large or small.
