Bernard J. Moody, age 98, of Homewood formerly of Roseland.
Beloved husband of Irene Moody nee Pisarski. Loving father of
Karen Moody, Marcia (Michael) Schwarz, Claudia Kuznieski and
Laura Moody. Dear son of the late Pauline and Julius Modde.
Cherished grandfather of Robin (Kurt) Stephens, Michael (Vicki)
Schwarz, Rebecca (Nate) Gross, Megan (Robert) Tromp and Erin
(Scott) Bright. Great-grandfather of 11. Beloved uncle to
numerous nieces and nephews. Bud, a graduate of Pullman
Tech High School Class of 1940, was disqualified from serving in
the military in WWII because of poor eyesight. Nevertheless, he
was proud of the work he did for the War as a draftsman at
International Harvester from which he retired after a 32-year
career. Bud's wry sense of humor, which he maintained
throughout his life, was well appreciated and enlivened many a
family gathering. A great fan of the movies, Bud spent many
hours at double features in his youth; his favorite actors being
John Wayne, Errol Flynn and the comedy duo of Laurel and
Hardy. Throughout his life, movies remained his favorite form
of entertainment and he never tired of looking at pretty girls.
His reputation of being able to fix anything kept him busy in his
own house and those of family and neighbors. Bud always had
a kind word and a ready smile which he used generously. He
will be deeply missed. Private services were held. For additional
