Arthur W. Rogel D.D.S. age 92, U.S. Air Force Veteran. Longtime resident and Dentist of Homewood. Beloved husband of the late Arlene B. Rogel nee Blanchard.  Loving father of Mary Jo (Dennis) May, Cathy (Dan) Sarna, Joan (Michael) Cantieri, Philip (Diane nee Majchrzak) Rogel, Diane Rogel and David Rogel. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Kathy, Kevin, Thomas, John, Susan, Jenny, Marie, Matthew, Angela, Louis, Mike, Philip, Carolina, Nick and Lauren.  Great grandfather of 22. Preceded in death by his siblings, Leo Rogel, Michael Rogel, Adele Syverson, Edmund Rogel, Mary Rogel, Ernie Rogel, Richard Rogel, Theresa Wellner and John Rogel. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. After completing his service in the US Air Force, Dr. Rogel served his community for over 50 years as a Dentist, providing excellent dental care for Homewood and the surrounding communities. 1954 graduate of the University of Illinois Dental School in Chicago.  He was devoted to his family, providing many happy memories of family vacations, trips to the Indiana Dunes, fishing trips and extended family picnics. He will be greatly missed by many. Dr. Rogel was a man of deep faith with a devotion to the Rosary. Resting at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood, Friday January 27, 2023. Funeral Saturday with 9:45am prayers at the Funeral Home to St. John Neumann Church (formerly St. Joseph Church) in Homewood for mass at 10:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL.
