Ann C. McKenna nee Martin, age 92, of Homewood, IL. Devoted daughter to the late Helen Martin. Beloved wife of the late Thomas "Tom" G. McKenna IV. Loving mother of Margaret "Meg" Murray, the late Tom (Cheri) McKenna V, Paul (Denise) McKenna, and Michael (Kristine) McKenna.  Cherished grandmother to Keith (David) Murray, Tim (Kelly) Murray, Tom (Amanda) McKenna VI, Kyle (Nicole) McKenna, Tyler (Alicia) McKenna, Michelle McKenna, Jonathan McKenna and Gabrielle McKenna.  Great-grandmother to Maddie, Caroline, and Tommy VII.  Ann is preceded in passing by her beloved siblings Dorothy, Mary Jo, and twin brother, Robert. Ann is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces/nephews, cousins, and friends she had kept in touch with throughout her life.

A strong and talented woman, Ann and Tom married while in their early 20's and started their family with very little in material possessions.  What they lacked in financial terms, they made up for with abundant love for each other, their kids and family members. Ann managed the household while also working and going to night school to earn her college degrees including a master's in education from Purdue University. She enjoyed a long and meaningful career teaching Honors English courses at Mother McAuley Catholic High School for over 30 years, where she developed strong friendships and had a positive impact on the education of many.
