ALICE F. EVANS (Riegert) nee Szymanski, age 89 of Homewood, IL,

Born in Chicago, IL, on November 3, 1934, to Casimir and Josephine Szymanski, Alice passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Hazelcrest, IL – under the care of hospice.

Dear mother to Sandra (Riegert) O'Neil of Muncie, IN.

Cherished Grandmother to Ashley A. (Drew) Shultz of Apollo Beach, FL. Joshua M. (Alexis) Riegert of LaPorte, IN.

Loving Great-grandmother to 1 great-granddaughter, Hunter Evans, 2 great-grandsons, Zane Anthony and Bradley Daniel Derrick.

She also leaves behind her sweet, kind, very best friend, Ethel Woods of Homewood, IL, and dear friend, Darlene Barrentine, of Valparaiso, IN.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Caz and Josie, one brother, Edward (Ed) Szymanski, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including her Special life-long friend, Rita Wychocki.

Alice was a one-of-a-kind person, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her in life. She never met a stranger and was kind to everyone she met. Alice adored her family - her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was her everything. Godspeed, Mom – DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING!!!
